LAHORE: Senior journalist and intellectual Altaf Hassan Qureshi has passed away at the age of 94.
Senior journalist, intellectual and renowned writer Altaf Hassan Qureshi passed away in Lahore. He had been ill for some time.
According to his family, his funeral prayers will be offered tomorrow, Sunday, after Zuhr prayers at Jamia Ashrafia, Lahore.
The deceased leaves behind five sons and four daughters to mourn.
Altaf Hassan Qureshi was the editor-in-chief of the monthly magazine “Urdu Digest” for a long time and was also the author of several well-known books.
His famous works include “Malaqateen”, “Mubakal Hai Aine”, “Chha Nakat Ki Sachi Tikkur”, “Nook-e-Zaban” and “Mashreqi Pakistan: Tota Hua Tara” among others.
In 2019, a special book titled “Altaf Sahafat” was also published on his journalistic services.
