LAHORE: The wave of inflation continues in the country and a continuous increase in the prices of daily necessities is being seen.

Due to the ongoing inflation in recent days, the prices of ghee and cooking oil have also increased significantly, which has further increased the problems of the citizens.

The price of grade II ghee and cooking oil has increased by Rs 20 per kilogram in the open market of Lahore. According to traders, after the recent increase, the price of grade II ghee and oil has increased to Rs 545 per kilogram. The sudden increase in prices has severely affected the domestic budget.

Market sources say that the prices of ghee and oil are increasing due to the increase in the prices of raw materials and the increase in delivery costs.

On the other hand, the citizens say that food and beverage items have already become expensive, now the increase in the price of ghee and oil is causing more problems for them.

Housewives say that cooking expenses have already become very high and the continuous increase in the prices of ghee and oil is affecting the purchasing power of the common man.

Consumers have demanded that the Punjab government and relevant institutions take immediate notice of the price hike and take effective steps to control the prices of food items in the market so that the public can get some relief.
