Significant Progress in Pakistan’s Foreign Diplomacy as New Diplomatic Appointments Finalized

ISLAMABAD (Rizwan Abbasi) : With the approval of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan has taken a significant step forward in its foreign diplomacy by finalizing appointments for 19 ambassadors and consuls general.

This move is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s international relations and promote national interests at the global level.

Saadia Altaf Qazi has been appointed as Ambassador to Bangkok, while Salman Sharif has been designated as Ambassador to Berlin. Hasnain Yousaf will serve as Pakistan’s new Ambassador to Dar-es-Salam, and Irfan Ahmed will represent Pakistan in Dushanbe as Ambassador.

Tahir Hussain Andrabi has been named Ambassador to Geneva, and Ashar Shahzad has been appointed Ambassador to Kampala. Muhammad Aamir Khan will serve as Ambassador to Kathmandu, and Chaudhry Tipu Usman has been appointed as Pakistan’s new High Commissioner to London.

Dr. Bilal Ahmed will take up responsibilities as Ambassador to Nairobi, while Asim Ali Khan has been appointed Ambassador to Oslo.

Ahmed Amjad Ali has been designated as Ambassador to Stockholm, Muhammad Mudassir Tipu as Ambassador to Tashkent, and Imran Ahmed Siddiqui as Ambassador to Tehran.

In the consular appointments, Ali Anser Zaidi has been named Consul General in Frankfurt, Yasir Iqbal Butt in Guangzhou, Shahbaz Hussain in Kandahar, Siraj Ahmad Khan in Los Angeles, Awais Ahmad Khan in Mazar-e-Sharif, and Faisal Abro in Montreal.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these appointments are a key step toward strengthening Pakistan’s diplomatic network, enhancing economic and trade relations, and safeguarding Pakistan’s interests at the international level.
