pink electric scooters
KARACHI: The Sindh government has introduced a program that distributes complimentary electric bikes to women who reside in a specific Karachi area.
The program aims to enhance women’s mobility while supporting their empowerment, according to the official announcement made by Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon during his speech at a Karachi event.
The program will provide pink electric scooters to eligible women who reside in Gulshan-e-Mamar, according to the official statement. The minister announced that women who possess a valid motorcycle or scooter driving license and can demonstrate their employment status will be eligible for the program.
The government will provide complimentary training programs while covering all license expenses to encourage women to join the program.
The first women-only Pink Bus Service became operational through the efforts of the Sindh government, according to Sharjeel Memon. He stated that the current initiative builds on earlier programs like the distribution of pink scooters, launched under the banner of the Pakistan Peoples Party.
Officials stated that the electric bikes will feature advanced technology which produces minimal environmental impact while enabling women to travel at lower expenses and secure transportation.
The initiative provides essential support to working women through its development of dependable and economical transportation solutions.
The minister stated that the government allocates resources for public welfare initiatives, which include energy and transport, and social development programs throughout Sindh.
