Sindh restores deceased quota for govt jobs

KARACHI: The Sindh cabinet approved the restoration of the deceased quota for government jobs during a meeting, which Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah led at the Chief Minister’s House in Karachi.

The provincial cabinet reached its decision according to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s spokesperson, Abdul Rasheed Channa.

The chief minister ordered officials to assess all deceased quota applications that had been submitted until September 2024 and to evaluate them based on their individual merits.

The government plans to resolve pending cases that involve families of deceased government workers who want to obtain jobs through the quota system.
