Man found alive after 16 days in Nanga Abad landslide rescue

RUSTAM: A man identified as Abdul Wahab from Mohmand district was found alive after 16 days following a mining landslide in Nanga Abad, officials said.

Rescue 1122 teams recovered the survivor during a continued search operation, while earlier reports confirmed that eight people had died and three others were injured in the incident.

The discovery has been described as a rare and surprising development, bringing relief to the victim’s family and local residents. Rescue officials said the operation was carried out in difficult terrain and challenging conditions.

The incident had triggered widespread concern in the area, while the latest recovery has been termed an extraordinary outcome in the ongoing rescue efforts.
