ISLAMABAD: The prices of solar panels are once again witnessing an increase in the city market.

According to market sources, the price of solar panels has increased by Rs 10 per watt, after which the price per watt has increased from Rs 30 to Rs 40.

Due to this increase, the overall cost of solar systems has also increased significantly, and the price of a complete system has increased by about Rs 2 lakh.

According to the new tariff, the prices of on-grid solar systems are as follows:

5 kW on-grid system Rs 650,000, 7 kW system Rs 750,000, 10 kW system Rs 1.1 lakh, 12 kW system Rs 1.25 lakh, while the price of 15 kW system has been fixed at Rs 1.5 lakh.

Sources say that these prices have been fixed on the basis of on-grid systems, while consumers wishing to install hybrid systems will have to pay extra for batteries.

According to market sources, consumers switching to solar energy are certainly facing difficulties due to the increase in prices, however, due to the continuous increase in electricity prices, the demand for solar systems remains unchanged.
