Speaker National Assembly issues production orders for PTI MNAs

ISLAMABAD: Speaker of National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq on Wednesday issued the production orders of the arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNAs.

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq issued production orders for 10 arrested PTI members including Sher Afzal Marwat, Aamir Dogar, Ahmed Chatta, Zain Qureshi, Zubair Khan, Waqas Akram Sheikh, Owais Haider, Ahad Ali Shah, Naseem Ali Shah and Yousuf.

Production orders directed that members detained by the police should be handed over to the sergeant-at-arms before the session began, and that they would be returned to police custody after the session ended.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar also confirmed that the Speaker National Assembly has issued production orders for the detained MNAs, all members will attend the meeting tomorrow.

Additionally, the Speaker of the National Assembly constituted a four-member fact-finding committee to investigate the September 9 incident.

The committee will be headed by the Additional Secretary, which also includes Joint Secretaries Arshad Ali and Rizwanullah.

Sources have revealed that Acting Sergeant at Arms Raja Farhat Abbas is also a part of the committee.

The committee will examine the reasons for the September 9 incident, how and why the police and security agencies were allowed to enter Parliament, and submit a report after examining all these factors.
