Special GHQ ceremony marks one year of Marka-e-Haq victory

RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Asim Munir, Addressing a special ceremony at GHQ Rawalpindi on the completion of one year of the victory of the of Marka-e-Haq, the Field Marshal said that from the intervening night of May 6 and 7 to May 10, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to violate Pakistan’s geographical boundaries.

Army Chief Asim Munir further said that theMarka-e-Haq was not just a war between two countries, but it was a decisive battle between two ideologies, in which truth emerged victorious and falsehood was defeated.

The Field Marshal said that India’s dream is to change the balance of power in the region by targeting Pakistan with military aggression and diplomatic isolation. This dream of its is far beyond its stature and capability, which Pakistan will never allow to succeed.

He said that I pay tribute to all the martyrs and ghazis of the war of truth, especially the innocent women, the elderly and the innocent children who were martyred, on behalf of the entire nation and the armed forces of Pakistan. We can never forget the great martyrs of the war of truth. I salute all the ghazis, who made history on the battlefield.

He said that India had to suffer heavy human and financial losses as a result of this war, the price of which it will continue to pay for the times to come. Fatah missiles and the Shaheens of the Pakistan Air Force successfully hit more than 26 military targets of the enemy.

He said, Alhamdulillah! Today, Pakistan’s defense is completely impregnable against any external aggression. Let the enemy know, the effects of the upcoming adventure against Pakistan are not limited but will be extremely dangerous, far-reaching and painful.

Field Marshal Asim Munir said that the wars of the present and future will consist of multi-domain operations, which will involve the use of long-range weapons, drones, cyber and artificial intelligence. Defense Forces Headquarters has been established to align Pakistan’s armed forces with modern requirements.

He said that Pakistan’s strategic mutual defense agreement with the brotherly Islamic country of Saudi Arabia is a great milestone in our diplomatic achievements.

The Army Chief said that today Pakistan is hosting historic peace talks through its effective, responsible and impartial diplomacy.

He said that considering a conventional war with Pakistan impossible, India is once again resorting to the heinous method of terrorism, Afghanistan should completely eliminate the centers and sanctuaries of terrorism on its soil.

He said that I salute the brave people of Pakistan, especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, the Pakistani armed forces and all the brave and courageous personnel of the law enforcement agencies. We will avenge the blood of every innocent Pakistani and this war against terrorism will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.

The Field Marshal said that we will continue to provide political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiri people on every front.

Earlier, Field Marshal Asim Munir visited the martyrs’ memorial, offered prayers and laid flowers. Pakistan Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu and Pakistan Navy Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf also laid flowers at the martyrs’ memorial.
