SSGC announces important updates about gas suspension in Karachi

KARACHI: Sui Gas has announced that no gas  suspension will occur on August 14, in various areas of the Karachi, according to media reports.

Earlier, the company said that gas supply will be halted on August 14 due to repair and maintenance work in various areas of District West, Shahr-e-Quaid.

A statement issued by the Sui Southern Gas Company said that upon the request of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board to assist in the line maintenance program, it had announced to suspend gas supply in some areas of District West Karachi for 14 hours on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

In view of the possible inconvenience faced by the consumers in the context of the Independence Day public holiday, the top management of Sui Southern has taken an immediate decision to postpone its pipeline relocation program to another time.

The statement said that gas supply will continue as usual on Tuesday and further announcement will be made.
