WI vs Pak: Host team clinches series by 2-1 after 34 years

FLORIDA: West Indies defeated Pakistan by 202 runs in the third and final match to win the one-day series against Pakistan after 34 years.

Pakistan’s team was bowled out for 92 runs in pursuit of 295 runs.

Vice-captain Salman Agha was outstanding for Pakistan with 30 runs. Mohammad Nawaz was not out with 23 runs.

Hassan Nawaz was dismissed for 13 runs, Babar Azam 9, Naseem Shah 6, Hussain Talat 1 run.

At the same time, Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafiq, captain Mohammad Rizwan, Hassan Ali and Abrar Ahmed returned to the pavilion without opening their accounts.

For the host team, Jaden Sills took 6 wickets to destroy the Pakistani batting line-up. Gadkish Moti took 2 wickets and Roston Chase took 1 wicket.

Earlier, batting first at the invitation of Pakistan, the West Indies scored 294 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs, thanks to the century of captain Shai Hope.

Captain Shai Hope played a brilliant innings of 120 runs not out from 94 balls. Evin Lewis 37, Roston Chase 36, Casey Carty 17, Sharfeen Rutherford 15, Gadkish Moti 5, and Brandon King were dismissed for individual scores of 5 runs.

Justin Graves remained not out after scoring a smoky 43 runs from 24 balls.

Abrar Ahmed and Naseem Shah took 2 wickets each. Saim Ayub and Muhammad Nawaz took 1 wicket each.
