The travel entry system for Thailand has been modified for 2026, which maintains most of its visa requirements but adds advanced monitoring technology and digital modernization.
Pakistani travelers can continue to enjoy the 60-day visa exemption, with the option to extend their stay by an additional 30 days. Pakistani citizens can still access visa-on-arrival services, which Thailand provides to make travel more convenient.
Travelers must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card, which requires submission through online platforms within 72 hours before their arrival.
The expanded e-Visa system also allows Pakistani travelers to apply digitally, avoiding long queues at airports. Thailand offers remote workers the Destination Thailand Visa, which promotes extended stays, while student visas now allow certain foreign students to study and work under specific conditions.
The evaluation process for long-stay visas, including retiree permits, aims to achieve a balance between tourism expansion and immigration control measures.
Officials will implement strict enforcement of visa privileges because they consider any form of misuse to be a serious violation, which includes both repeated short-term entries and informal employment activities.
Pakistani tourists and business visitors need to fulfill the new digital requirements for their entry process in 2026 to achieve a seamless entry process.
