Thunderstorm alert issued across Pakistan till March 25

ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has predicted thunderstorms in different parts of the country from today to March 25.

The NDMA, while issuing an alert regarding thunderstorms and strong winds in the country, said that rain is likely in different areas of Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir from today to March 25.

According to the NDMA, thunderstorms, strong winds and rain are expected in different areas of Balochistan from today to March 23, while rain may also occur in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad and Dadu, on which provincial and district institutions should be on alert.

On the other hand, the Meteorological Department also predicted rain in different parts of the country and said that a westerly wind is entering the country from tonight.

The Meteorological Department said that under this system, rain is expected in most districts of Punjab from March 18 to 20, while drizzle is also possible at some places.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain dry in most districts of Punjab. In the evening and night, it will be partly cloudy in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Sargodha, Mianwali, while rain with strong winds, gusty winds, and thunderstorms are expected at a few places. The weather is likely to remain partly cloudy in the upper areas during the days of Eid.

The Meteorological Department says that the weather will remain pleasant in Lahore due to 2 days of continuous rain and there is a possibility of more rain during the next 24 hours. After the rain, the temperature will also remain low on Eid.

How will the weather be in Karachi in 24 hours?

Similarly, talking about the weather in Karachi, the Meteorological Department officials said that the weather is likely to remain hot and dry during the next 24 hours, with the maximum temperature likely to be between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Karachi today was recorded at 23.5 degrees Celsius, the humidity in the air is 79 percent and the winds are blowing from the southwest at a speed of 4 kilometers per hour.
