MURREE: Traders have declared war against the smart lockdown and decided to go on a complete shutdown strike from tomorrow.

According to details, the Central Traders Association of Murree has rejected the smart lockdown imposed by the government and announced a complete shutdown strike from tomorrow for an indefinite period.

The traders are demanding that Murree be exempted from the lockdown in view of its tourist importance. The Central Traders Association says that all small and big business centers, markets, and shops in Murree will remain completely closed from tomorrow morning.

Trader leaders said that Murree is a tourist destination where the economy depends on tourism. The smart lockdown is destroying local businesses, so the strike will continue until an exemption is given.

This protest call by the traders was further strengthened when the Transport Association also announced its full support for the shutdown strike.

There is a fear that the participation of transporters will completely bring traffic and tourism activities in Murree to a standstill. Traders say that the government should announce a specific economic package or relaxation for Murree so that the flow of tourists can continue and the livelihood of local people is not affected.
