PSL 12 to be “bigger and better” with expanded venues, says Mohsin Naqvi

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced the addition of new venues to the Pakistan Super League (PSL) next year.

Speaking informally to reporters at the end of Pakistan Super League 11, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that PSL 12 will be even bigger and better.

Mohsin Naqvi said that more cities will also host the next edition of PSL.

Earlier, he thanked Lahore and said that the cricket fans showed perfect discipline and great enthusiasm in the final match. The PCB Chairman said that the enthusiasm of the cricket fans at the Gaddafi Stadium was visible.

Peshawar Zalmi clinch PSL 11 title, defeat Hyderabad Kingsmen in final

Peshawar Zalmi lifted the Pakistan Super League 11 (PSL 11) trophy for the second time, defeating Hyderabad Kingsmen in a dominant final performance.

Chasing a modest target, Zalmi comfortably secured victory by five wickets to seal the title.

Aaron Hardie was a standout batsman for Zalmi by scoring 56 runs, while Abdul Samad scored 48 runs, leading Peshawar to victory in the PSL 11 Final.

For Kingsmen, Muhammad Ali took three wickets while Hunain Shah and Akif Javed took one wicket each.

Earlier, Hyderabad Kingsmen’s batting line-up collapsed under pressure after being put in to bat. The team was bowled out for 129 runs in 18 overs.

Despite early setbacks, Saim Ayub provided some resistance, scoring 54 runs and registering the first half-century of the final. Captain Marnus Labuschagne contributed 20 runs, while Maaz Sadaqat added 11.

The rest of the batting order failed to make an impact, with Hassan Khan scoring 12 runs, Irfan Niazi and Kusal Perera managing just one run each, and Glenn Maxwell was dismissed for a duck. Haneen Shah chipped in with 9 runs.

For Zalmi, Aaron Hardie was the standout performer with the ball, taking 4 wickets for 27 runs, while Nahid Rana claimed 2 wickets for 22 runs to restrict the opposition.

With a disciplined bowling performance followed by a composed chase, Peshawar Zalmi secured their second PSL title, marking a memorable end to the tournament.
