ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Pakistan, H.E. Dr. İrfan Neziroğlu, called on Mr. Fahd Haroon, Minister of State and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Digital Media, at his office in Islamabad.
During the meeting, the two dignitaries discussed bilateral cooperation in the field of digital media, including digital literacy, content creation, and addressing online threats.
They also held a detailed discussion on key challenges such as fake news, disinformation, and hate speech.
Dr. İrfan Neziroğlu expressed Türkiye’s interest in collaborating with Pakistan in the digital sphere, while Mr. Fahd Haroon highlighted the Government of Pakistan’s vision of utilizing digital media as a tool for transparent governance, public engagement, and youth empowerment.
Both sides appreciated the longstanding, deep, and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Türkiye, and agreed that joint initiatives in the digital space would further strengthen these ties.
The meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere, with a reaffirmed commitment to enhancing cooperation in the field of digital media in the future.
