Unknown transgenders booked in Raoof Hasan attack case

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have registered a case against four unidentified transgender individuals involved an attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Raoof Hassan in Islamabad’s Sector G-7.

On a complaint of Raoof Hasan, an FIR has been lodged at the Aabpara Police Station, accusing the suspect under charges of attempt to murder and others.

According to the FIR, a senior PTI leader was heading towards his car park after participating in a TV program when he was attacked.

An individual who appears to be a transgender person intercepted him and launched the assault. During the incident, three more individuals attacked him.

Federal capital police have initiated an investigation to apprehend the suspects and the CCTV footage of the incident is also being acquired.

CCTV footage showed that PTI Spokesperson escaped a knife attack by a group of four transgenders when he was walking outside of the private news channel in Islamabad.

PTI condemned the knife attack on the party’s Central Information Secretary. “PTI will never give up its struggle for fear of these cowardly attacks,” part said in a statement on X.
