ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan visa issue concerning Qasim Khan and Suleman Khan, sons of PTI’s founding chairman, has reignited political and diplomatic debate.

According to recent reports, the visas have not been issued to the two British passport holders yet, while the matter is being considered by the relevant authorities.

According to reports, the two brothers had submitted visa applications to come to Pakistan, but sources say that there were some technical and informational errors in the applications, which the applicants were contacted to correct. According to sources, the applications were pending due to incomplete provision of the required information.

According to diplomatic sources, the final decision on visa applications is subject to the approval of the relevant department of the Ministry of Interior in Islamabad, which may delay the process. In the past, reports have also emerged that Imran Khan’s sons have been waiting for visa approval to come to Pakistan.

On the other hand, some foreign media reports have claimed that the two brothers have accused the government of deliberately withholding their visas so that they cannot meet their father, however, there has been no official confirmation of this position at the government level.

Sources further say that visa processing matters are sensitive in nature and in some cases, it may take time due to security and document verification steps.
