Pakistani actor Muneeb Butt has been declared innocent in the kidnapping and cryptocurrency robbery case after investigators failed to find evidence linking him to the alleged crime.

According to an interim seven-page report submitted by the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) before the Anti-Terrorism Court, the allegations against the actor could not be substantiated during the investigation. Muneeb Butt had been accused of providing accommodation in Murree to the suspects involved in the case, but investigators concluded there was no proof to support the claim.
The prosecution stated that the incident took place on April 23, when complainant Muhammad Mutaal was allegedly kidnapped from Shahrah-e-Faisal. The suspects reportedly robbed him of cryptocurrency worth approximately Rs2.494 million, along with other valuables, before abandoning him in Karachi’s Korangi Industrial Area and fleeing the scene.
The interim challan identifies police official Ghalib as an absconder. Meanwhile, suspects Shahid Sattar, Muhammad Saleem, Aleem, and Wazir Muhammad have been arrested in connection with the case.
The report also notes that Muneeb Butt, Mohsin Rajpar, and Abdul Rehman Chandio are currently out on bail. However, investigators have not found sufficient evidence to implicate the actor, resulting in his being declared innocent in the interim investigation report. The case will continue to proceed through the court as legal proceedings move forward.
