Pakistani actor Shamoon Abbasi on Shaan Shahid has become a major talking point after his recent appearance on a television morning show, where he openly criticized fellow film stars Shaan Shahid and Meera.

The discussion emerged while the entertainment industry continues to talk about the recently released film Psycho, starring Shaan Shahid and Meera. The Eid-ul-Adha 2026 release has generated mixed reactions from audiences, with some viewers appreciating its performances and concept, while others have questioned its overall approach.

During his appearance on a morning show hosted by Madeha Naqvi, Shamoon Abbasi revealed that he had not yet watched Psycho. However, he shared strong views regarding what he described as arrogance among certain artists in the industry.

Addressing the long-standing debate surrounding Karachi and Lahore’s film circles, Abbasi claimed that such discussions unnecessarily create divisions within Pakistan’s entertainment sector. He argued that artists should be recognized on a national level rather than being associated with specific cities or regions.

The actor also spoke about Meera, recalling a period when she was reportedly struggling to secure acting opportunities. According to Abbasi, members of the industry extended support to her during that difficult phase. He expressed disappointment over what he described as a change in attitude following the success and publicity surrounding recent projects.

Abbasi further stated that humility remains one of the most important qualities for artists, regardless of their fame or achievements. He suggested that public figures should avoid making statements that could create unnecessary controversies within the entertainment community.

His remarks have since sparked discussion across social media, with fans and industry observers debating his comments about Shaan Shahid, Meera, and the broader state of Pakistan’s film industry.
