PSL Auction: Two new PSL teams up for auction as ceremony begins in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: A proposal to name a new Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise “Pindi Boys” has sparked debate on social media.
The suggestion was shared by entrepreneur Ali Khan Tareen, who argued that with a new stadium being constructed in Islamabad, Rawalpindi deserves its own dedicated PSL team and identity.
The idea gained traction online after sports platform Apex Sports shared a post featuring the proposed name, prompting mixed reactions from cricket fans. Supporters praised the regional identity and catchy name, while others called for a more traditional franchise title.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not yet made any official announcement regarding the addition of a new PSL team or its name.
