Asia Cup 2025: India crush UAE by 9 wickets in dominant start

DUBAI: In the second match of the Asia Cup 2025, India started the event with a victory by defeating the UAE by 9 wickets in a one-sided match.

In the match played in Dubai, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and invited the UAE to bat.

The UAE team was bowled out for 57 runs in 13.1 overs.

Opening batsman Alishan scored 22 runs and captain Wasim scored 19 runs for the UAE, except for these two, no batsman could enter double figures.

Kuldeep Yadav took 4 wickets and Shivam Dube took 3 wickets for India.

In reply, India easily achieved the target of 58 runs in 4.3 overs for the loss of one wicket.

Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for 30 runs. Shubman Gill remained unbeaten on 20 and captain Suryakumar Yadav remained unbeaten on 7 runs.

It should be noted that the UAE and India are in Group A of the Asia Cup. The Pakistan-India clash in the event will be played in Dubai on September 14.
