Australian batters set unique record in ashes test
BRISBANE: Australian batters set a unique batting record in the second Test match, in the Ashes series Test match against England played in Brisbane, eleven Australian batsmen set a record for the first time in Ashes history to reach double figures.
England scored 334 runs in the first innings, in response to which the Australian team scored 511 runs, taking a lead of 177 runs over England.
It should be noted that the record of all batsmen reaching double figures was previously set by the Australian team against India in 1948 and Sri Lanka in 1992, but this is the first time in Ashes history that this has happened.
It should be remembered that at the end of the third day’s play in the second innings, England had scored 134 runs for six wickets.
