ISLAMABAD: Recent reports suggest the PCB is reviewing the team’s leadership after Pakistan’s disappointing T20 World Cup campaign, and Salman Ali Agha’s captaincy is under scrutiny.
However, the reports naming Babar Azam as his replacement are speculative and have not been confirmed by the PCB. Earlier reports even suggested that if Salman was replaced, other names such as Shaheen Shah Afridi or Shadab Khan were being considered.
What has been officially confirmed is that Babar Azam has been reappointed as Pakistan’s Test captain, replacing Shan Masood ahead of the Test series against the West Indies and England.
