DUBAI: Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi responded to the Indian board’s letter for the Asia Cup trophy.

According to sources, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had written a letter to Asian Cricket Council President Mohsin Naqvi to award the Asia Cup 2025 trophy.

The Asian Cricket Council has proposed to hold the trophy handover ceremony to the Indian board in Dubai in the first week of November.

Sources further said that the Asian Cricket Council President has taken a blunt stance and said that the Indian board officials can come with one of the players and receive the trophy at the ceremony.

It should be noted that the Indian team, the winner of the Asia Cup 2025, did not receive the trophy from ACC President Mohsin Naqvi after winning the final match, in which Mohsin Naqvi sent the trophy back to the ACC office.

On the insistence of the Indian board, Mohsin Naqvi had said that if the Indian captain wants the trophy, he should come to my office and take it.
