ABU DHABI: With tension mounting for tonight’s blockbuster Asia Cup 2025 showdown between India and Pakistan, Dubai Police has ordered a strict advisory in place to maintain order and safety within the stadium.
As feelings are likely to run high, authorities have gone into high alert mode to avoid any unpleasant incidents during the match.
This Pakistan-India encounter is the first time both teams have occupied a sporting ground since their short-lived armed clash in May.
The hype has been serious, and organizers are not leaving anything to chance in stemming any ill feeling that may arise between the two fan bases.
The Event Security Committee has issued strict guidelines for the spectators viewing the match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Under the advisory, any act of violence, abusive language, or racist tendencies during the Pakistan and India match will not be accepted. The offenders may get jail terms between one to three months and fines between AED 10,000 and AED 30,000, equivalent to PKR 750,000 to 2.3 million.
Dubai Police has made it official: the stadium needs to be a safe and respectful area for everyone. The Pakistan vs India game is requested to be enjoyed with sportsmanship and dignity by fans, since any violation of conduct will be addressed promptly and firmly.
The directive comes following previous arrangements by the Emirates Cricket Board to separate Pakistan and Afghanistan fans during the tri-nation series.
With millions viewing and thousands present, tonight’s Pakistan-India encounter is not merely a sporting spectacle; it’s a testament to the extent to which cricket can transcend differences.
While the on-field rivalry is set to be fierce, Dubai officials are keen to ensure that the game’s spirit prevails off the field. In a match with a lot of emotion and history hanging in the air, the expectation is that fans will rise to the challenge, not with aggression, but with concord.
