pakistan vs england
ISLAMABAD: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has prepared a plan to include a long home series of five Test matches against Pakistan and South Africa in its upcoming Future Tour Program (FTP).
According to British media reports, the English board has completed initial discussions with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and South African officials regarding this proposed plan.
According to the new schedule, England’s next Future Tour program will start with the home Ashes series against Australia next year, which will be immediately followed by long Test series against Pakistan and South Africa.
The reports further state that while there will be long series against Pakistan and South Africa, there will also be short series against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka consisting of just one Test match each.
However, more white-ball cricket (ODIs and T20s) matches will be scheduled against these two countries, as according to the British board, white-ball series against these teams prove to be more financially beneficial.
