Hassan Ali said the side would not be easy on Australia as there is a long way to go.

MELBOURNE: Pakistan’s pace spearhead, Hassan Ali has addressed the ongoing debate surrounding the team’s pace bowling performance during the second Test against Australia in Melbourne, dismissing concerns about the bowlers struggling to achieve high speeds in the challenging Australian conditions.

In a press conference, Hassan Ali emphasized that his primary focus has never been on pace, stating, “I don’t know whose pace has dropped – my focus has never been on pace, and I’ve never bowled at 150kph.” He suggested that maintaining precision around the top of off stump is crucial, brushing off any rumors about a decline in the pace of the bowlers.

Undeterred by the critique, Hassan Ali underscored the team’s commitment to the game, stating, “I haven’t heard these rumors, and we don’t care about them. Our focus is on the game, and that’s where it should be.”

Regarding the ongoing second Test, Hassan Ali expressed confidence in the team’s performance, highlighting that they are on the front foot as they managed to keep Australia from leaking runs. He conveyed a determined approach, stating that they won’t take it easy on Australia, emphasizing the long journey still ahead in the match.
