ISLAMABAD: The official draw for the Hockey Asia Cup has been made, with the tournament set to begin in Bihar, India on August 29.
The Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) has announced the schedule, with Bangladesh and Kazakhstan replacing Pakistan and Oman in the eight-team tournament.
The teams have been divided into two groups for the event, which begins on August 29.
Group A includes India, Japan, China and Kazakhstan, while Group B includes Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Chinese Taipei.
It is worth noting that the Hockey Asia Cup also serves as a qualifying event for the FIH Hockey World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in Belgium and the Netherlands in 2026.
