MUMBAI: South Africa women and India women (Ind W vs SA W) will compete for the Women’s World Cup title for the first time today.

The Indian team has played the final twice before, but it has faced defeat both times, while the South African team has reached the Women’s World Cup final for the first time.

The South African team, which inflicted a historic defeat on England in the semi-finals, was all out for 69 runs against England in the first leg.

On the other hand, the Indian team set a record for achieving the highest target in the history of Women’s ODIs against defending champions Australia in the semi-finals.

Moreover, the 2025 edition of the Women’s Cricket World Cup has already made history as the tournament final will not feature Australia or England, as both teams have played all the final games of the previous editions.

This will be the first Women’s World Cup final in the 52-year history, which will feature India and South Africa, but not Australia and England.

Since 1973, the Women’s CWC has been held 12 times, in which one of the teams from Australia or England has definitely reached the final.

It should be noted that the Australian team has won the title a record 7 times. England has won the title 4 times and New Zealand once.
