India sets 248-run target for Pakistan in Women World Cup 2025

COLOMBO: In a thrilling clash of the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, India has set a target of 248 runs for Pakistan to chase. Batting first, the Indian side was bowled out for 247 runs in the allotted 50 overs.

Harleen Deol top-scored with 46 runs, supported by Jemima Rodrigues (32), Pratika Rawal (31), and Deepti Sharma (25). In the final overs, Richa Ghosh played a fiery knock of 35 runs off just 20 balls, boosting India’s total.

Pakistan’s bowlers shone with a disciplined performance. Diana Baig was the star, claiming 4 crucial wickets, while Sadia Iqbal and Fatima Sana picked up 2 wickets each to restrict India’s progress.

With a target of 248, all eyes are now on the Pakistani batting lineup as they aim to consolidate their position in the tournament. Cricket fans across the region are eagerly waiting to see if Pakistan can overcome the challenge and secure a vital win.
