Islamabad United crush Rawalpindi by 7 wickets in PSL 11

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad United easily defeated Rawalpindi by 7 wickets in Lahore HBL Pakistan Super League 11.

In the match played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Islamabad United won the toss and invited Rawalpindi to bat first.

Rawalpindi scored 156 runs for 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Kamran Ghulam scored 50, Dian Forster played an innings of 44 runs.

In addition, Muhammad Rizwan scored 2, Daryl Mitchell 19 and Abdullah Fazal scored 23 runs.

Richard Gleeson, Faheem Ashraf and Salman Irshad took 2 wickets each for Islamabad United.

In reply, Islamabad United easily achieved the target of 157 runs in the 15th over for the loss of 3 wickets.

For Islamabad United, Sameer Minhas was outstanding by scoring 70 runs off 36 balls, Haider Ali was not out with 26 and Mark Chapman was not out with 24 runs. In addition, Devon Conway scored 6 and Muhammad Faiq scored 19 runs.

Thus, Islamabad United won its second victory in the event.

Talking about the points table, Karachi Kings are at the first position with 6 points after winning all three of their matches.

Islamabad United is in second position with 5 points after winning 2 and losing one of their 4 matches. One of Islamabad’s matches was washed out due to rain.
