Karachi marathon kicks off, international runners join in

KARACHI: In a ground breaking move, a world-class marathon has kicked off in Karachi, with runners from all over Pakistan participating in the competition.

The event began at the Nishan Pakistan venue at Karachi Sea View, and athletes from all over the country gathered to take part in the various categories of the marathon.

He also reveals that improved timing gadgets have been bought for the marathon so as to provide accurate records for finish times, thereby ruling out human error. This assures the competition is transparent and fair for all participants and that everyone who attains first place at the Karachi Marathon will be crowned an international champion.

This paves the way for participation in any international marathon thus providing a platform for Pakistani athletes on the global stage. The certification increases the marathon conductors’ commitment to performance and their desire to see that the event not only succeeds but also meets the standards of the World Athletics.
