Pak vs WI: Green Shirts edge out West Indies by 14 runs in first T20I

FLORIDA: Pakistan defeated the West Indies by 14 runs in the first match of the 3-match T20 series.

In the match played in Lauderhill, Florida, USA, West Indian captain Shai Hope won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat.

Pakistan scored 178 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Saim Ayub scored 57 runs, and Fakhar Zaman stood out with 28 runs.

In addition, Hassan Nawaz scored 24 runs, while Faheem Ashraf scored 16 runs and Sahibzada Farhan scored 14 runs.

Captain Salman Ali Agha was unbeaten on 11, and Mohammad Haris remained unbeaten on 6 runs.

Shemar Joseph took 3 wickets while Holder, Aqeel Hussain, and Shepherd took one wicket each.

Chasing a target of 179 runs, the West Indies team could only score 164 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Muhammad Nawaz took 3 wickets, Saim Ayub took 2 wickets, and Shaheen Afridi and Safyan Muqim took one wicket each.

The Pakistan team for the first T20 against the West Indies included Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Muhammad Haris (wicketkeeper), and Salman Ali Agha (captain).

In addition, Hassan Nawaz, Muhammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Safyan Muqim were also part of the playing XI.
