PCB announces squads for T20I, ODI series against West Indies

PCB grants NOCs to several Pakistani cricketers for overseas leagues

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that Mohammad Rizwan will be the captain of Pakistan in the three-match ODI series against West Indies as the Men’s National Selection Committee announced a 16-player ODI squad on Friday.

The ODI series will be hosted by the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad & Tobago on 8, 10, and 12 August.

Right-handed batsman Hasan Nawaz is the sole uncapped player in the ODI team, whereas Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi are included in the ODI team.

Pakistan will also host three T20Is against the West Indies on 31 July, 2 and 3 August, at Lauderhill’s Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in the USA. Salman Ali Agha will lead the T20I team, while fast bowlers Haris Rauf, Hasan Al,i and Shaheen Shah Afridi come back into the side in this format.

After the end of the three-match T20I series in Bangladesh, Pakistan will reach the USA on Sunday, 27 July.

Salman Ali Agha (captain), Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Haris (wicket-keeper), Mohammad Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan (wicket-keeper), Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Sufyan Moqim

16-member ODI squad:

Mohammad Rizwan (captain), Salman Ali Agha (vice-captain), Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Mohammad Haris (wicket-keeper), Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Sufyan Moqim

2 Aug – Second T20I against West Indies, Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium, Lauderhill, USA

3 Aug – Third T20I against West Indies, Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium, Lauderhill, USA

8 Aug – First ODI against West Indies, Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad & Tobago

10 Aug – Second ODI against West Indies, Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad & Tobago

12 Aug – Third ODI vs West Indies, Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad & Tobago
