ISLAMABAD: If Bangladesh refuses to play the World Cup, Pakistan is also likely to boycott the mega tournament.

According to media reports, Bangladesh Sports Advisor Asif Nazrul will hold an important meeting with the players at 2 pm Pakistan time today, in which they will be informed of the Bangladesh government’s position.

Sources say that most of the Bangladesh players are in favor of participating in the World Cup, however, after this meeting, the Bangladesh Cricket Board will send its final opinion to the ICC.

If the Bangladesh team refuses to go to India, the Pakistan Cricket Board is also expressing the possibility of boycotting the World Cup.

It should be noted that the ICC has decided not to make any changes to the T20 World Cup schedule and has given Bangladesh the option of playing in India or being out of the event.
