Pakistan names squad for Over 40s World Cup

KARACHI: The Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA) has announced an 18-member national squad for the Over-40 T20 World Cup 2025.

The squad includes former international and veteran players.

The squad was announced by former Test cricketer and chief selector Ijaz Ahmed Faqih. Former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq has been nominated as the captain of the team, with Fawad Alam appointed as the vice-captain.

Javed Miandad has been appointed as the team mentor, Jalaluddin as the head coach, and Azam Khan as the team manager.

PVCA Chairman Fawad Ijaz Khan says that this team represents the strength of Pakistan cricket at the veteran level.

Abdul Razzaq (captain), Fawad Alam (vice-captain), Shahid Afridi, Zulfiqar Babar, Humayun Farhat (wicketkeeper), Sohail Khan, Tabish Khan, Shahryar Ghani, Nadeem Javed, Irfan Mushtaq, Adnan Baig (wicketkeeper), Muhammad Ali, Atif Maqbool, Javed Mansoor, Hassan Nasir, Muhammad Suleman, Tariq Mahmood, Imran Ali.

In the administration, Javed Miandad will be the team mentor, Jalaluddin will be the head coach and Azam Khan will be the team manager
