Pakistan Test squad for West Indies, England tours to be announced today

LAHORE: Pakistan’s national Test team for the tour of the West Indies and England will be announced today.

According to sources, the selected players will be announced during a press conference in Lahore, where the name of the captain is also expected to be announced along with the Test squad.

Sources say that Babar Azam is also in the race to captain the Test team for the tour of the West Indies. Babar Azam’s name is also being considered for the captaincy along with current captain Shan Masood.

According to sources, some officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board are in favor of handing over the leadership of the Test team to Babar Azam again, however, the final decision will be taken after consulting the selection committee and the board.

The entire situation related to the national Test team and captaincy is likely to be clarified in the press conference to be held today.
