Cockroach Janta Party announces end to sit-in

NEW DELHI: After a long protest by students in India, the Cockroach Janta Party has announced the end of the ongoing protest against the government after the resignation of Indian Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The party has appealed to its workers and protesters to return to their homes peacefully.

A spokesperson for the Cockroach Janata Party said while holding a press conference that the party is withdrawing its protest in good faith, considering the recent decision of the government as a positive development.

The students raised their voices for their demands democratically and peacefully, as a result of which their struggle was successful.

It should be remembered that the Cockroach Janata Party was demanding the resignation of Indian Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the issue of exam paper leakage. In view of this protest, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi accepted the resignation of the Education Minister.

The party said in a statement on its X (formerly Twitter) account that long live the power of students; the education minister has resigned.

The statement said that the students had been protesting at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi since June 5; their main demand was transparency in the examination system and action against those responsible.

The students’ protest also received support from various political parties, social activists, actors and other famous personalities. A large number of youth participated in the protests, who demanded reforms in the education system.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi congratulated the students and said that the youth stood up for their rights and their struggle was successful; now no one should dare to suppress the voice of the youth.

Rahul Gandhi also congratulated the students in his message and said that the past can never defeat the future; Narendra Modi has now become the past of India.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal congratulated the students and the Cockroach Janta Party and called it a victory of democracy.

Social activist Sonam Wangchuk also praised the students’ struggle, saying that this is a victory of peace, patience, and perseverance, and that the youth have proven that change can be brought about through organized and peaceful protests.
