Pakistan vs South Africa Test series trophy unveiled in Lahore

LAHORE: The captains of Pakistan and South Africa unveiled the trophy ahead of the Test series between the teams.

Pakistan captain Shan Masood and South Africa captain Aiden Markram attended the trophy ceremony at the National Cricket Academy.

On this occasion, Aiden Markram also visited the NCA museum, where Shan Masood told him about the various trophies in the museum and the history of Pakistan cricket.

The first Test match between Pakistan and South Africa will start tomorrow, for which both teams are ready to take to the field with full preparation.

Earlier, the squad of the Pakistani team for the first Test match against South Africa was revealed.

The first Test match between the two teams will be played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, from October 12 to October 16.

The players will participate in a training session at Gaddafi Stadium today.

The Pakistan team management is considering the playing XI for the first Test match (Pak vs South Africa), possibly going with 2 regular fast bowlers and 2 spinners in the first Test.

According to sources, interim head coach Azhar Mahmood is impressed with the bowling of spinner Asif Afridi and is in favor of making his debut.

The possible players against South Africa include the names of Abdullah Shafiq, Imam-ul-Haq, Shan Masood, Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, Muhammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, Sajid Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Noman Ali, and Khurram Shahzad.
