LAHORE: Fatima Sana has been retained as captain of the Pakistan women’s cricket team for the upcoming tri-series in Ireland and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England and Wales, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Saturday.
The Women’s National Selection Committee has named a 15-member squad for both tournaments.
Pakistan will participate in a tri-series in Dublin featuring hosts Ireland and the West Indies. The event will be held from 28 May to 4 June, with Pakistan scheduled to play four matches.
The series is expected to serve as preparation for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled from 12 June to 5 July.
Fatima Sana, 24, will captain Pakistan in her second consecutive T20 World Cup after leading the side in the previous edition held in the UAE in 2024.
Pakistan recently completed a successful 3-0 T20I series sweep against Zimbabwe in Karachi, which helped strengthen preparations for upcoming assignments.
