LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formally requested the Punjab government for two bulletproof vehicles to ensure the safety and security of players and officials during the upcoming 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL X) 2025 matches.

The Punjab government has reportedly agreed to provide the required vehicles to the PCB ahead of the tournament. The move comes as part of stringent security measures for the 10th edition of Pakistan’s premier T20 cricket league, which is set to begin in Rawalpindi on April 11.

Defending champions Islamabad United will take on Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in the opening match. The countdown to PSL X is on, with excitement building across the country for what will be another thrilling season of cricket.

In addition to the PCB’s security demands, a comprehensive traffic plan has already been released for Rawalpindi to minimize congestion and ensure smooth movement of the public and teams during the matches. Major roads will be closed during team movements, and alternative routes have been allocated to manage traffic flow.

The PCB’s request for bulletproof vehicles underscores the importance of player safety in a high-profile tournament like the PSL, which attracts international attention and participation. The league has become a cornerstone of Pakistan’s cricket calendar, and the PCB is leaving no stone unturned to ensure its success.
