LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a show-cause notice to Fakhar Zaman for tweeting about Babar Azam’s exclusion from the team, here on Monday.
As per the details, Fakhar Zaman had strongly criticized the selection committee’s decision to drop Babar Azam from the second and third Test matches against England.
In a post on social media platform X, the left-handed top-order batsman expressed his concern over the news of Babar Azam’s exit from the team.
In his post, he noted that India did not drop in the three years from 2020 to 2023 despite Virat Kohli’s poor form.
Fakhr Zaman has been given seven days to submit an explanation regarding his statement.
