PCB to auction Multan Sultans ahead of PSL 11

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also decided to auction Multan Sultans.

According to sources, the PCB had announced that it would run the affairs of Multan Sultans itself in PSL 11, while now according to new developments, the PCB will now sell Multan Sultans as well.

Sources said that the auction of the two new PSL teams exceeded the PCB’s expectations, due to the good prices received for the two new teams, it has now been decided to auction Multan Sultans as well.

Sources also said that the PCB believes that there is no better time to sell Multan Sultans, open bidding will also be held for Multan Sultans, for which an advertisement will be given soon and an official announcement will be made soon after reviewing the legal aspects.

According to sources, after the record sale of 2 franchises and the interest of foreign investors, there have been interested parties in taking over Multan Sultans, after which the PCB is hopeful of selling Multan Sultans at a good price in the auction.

It should be noted that in the recent auction, the PCB has sold two new PSL teams, this time there will be 8 teams in PSL 11, including teams from Hyderabad and Sialkot.
