ISLAMABAD: President Trump has ordered a plan for military action on Greenland.
The British newspaper has said in its report that Trump has instructed US military commanders to prepare a plan for a possible attack or withdrawal.
The newspaper has claimed that hardline US policymakers want to control Greenland before China and Russia, and some senior US military officers are not in favor of the Trump plan.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff have opposed the plan and said that this action would be illegal and that Congress would not support it.
It should be remembered that the US President, while speaking to reporters at the White House yesterday, had said that the US should own Greenland so that Russia or China cannot occupy it.
On the other hand, observers say that this move may cause concern in the context of international laws and NATO agreements.
