Peshawar Zalmi beat Legend XI in Flood Relief Charity Match

PESHAWAR: In the flood relief charity match, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Legends XI by six runs in a thrilling encounter.

In the match, which was limited to 15 overs due to rain at the Imran Khan Stadium in Peshawar, Legends XI won the toss and invited Peshawar Zalmi to bat first.

Peshawar Zalmi’s team was bowled out for 144 runs in 14.3 overs. Captain Babar Azam and Yasir Hameed were outstanding with 41 and 35 runs.

Shahid Afridi and Abdul Rehman took three wickets each for Legends XI.

Chasing the target, Legends XI could only score 138 runs for the loss of six wickets.

Even the aggressive innings of captain Inzamam-ul-Haq and Azhar Mahmood could not save the team from defeat.

Inzamam-ul-Haq scored 46 off 23 balls and Azhar Mahmood remained unbeaten on 34 runs off 15 balls.

Mohammad Irfan and Babar Azam took two wickets each for Peshawar Zalmi.
