LAHORE: The proposed name of the new franchise from Hyderabad may be “Kingsmen Hyderabad”, according to the latest reports.

However, the final decision on this name has not been taken yet. Sources say that the US-based FKS Group, led by Fawad Sarwar, is considering various branding options for its new franchise.

The name “Kingsmen” is being given special importance because the same group also owns the cricket team Chicago Kingsmen in the US, which can create brand harmony between the two teams.

The FKS Group has played a major role in the expansion of the league by acquiring the seventh franchise of the PSL. This franchise will become a regular part of the league from PSL 11.

The Hyderabad team was sold during a major and high-profile auction held at the Jinnah Convention Center in Islamabad, where the group won the franchise by bidding Rs 1.75 billion.

It may be recalled that the Sialkot franchise, owned by OZ Developers, has been officially named “Sialkot Stallionz”.
