Proud to be Pakistani, Prime Minister and Field Marshal played an important role for peace: Shaheen Afridi

KARACHI: National team fast bowler and ODI cricket team captain Shaheen Shah Afridi’s statement on Pakistan’s role in the US-Iran ceasefire has come to light.

In a statement released on X, Shaheen Afridi said that Pakistan’s positive role for world peace is a matter of pride, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir played an important role for peace.

Shaheen Afridi said that the efforts of the national leadership to promote dialogue and stability are commendable, the ceasefire is a victory for humanity, Pakistan showed the way to hope, Pakistan is moving towards peace, unity and a bright future, proud to be a Pakistani.

Earlier, former captain and Shaheen Afridi’s father-in-law Shahid Afridi said in a statement released on X that Pakistan stands proudly because this could be one of the most important diplomatic moments in our history.

Shahid Afridi said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar have led with a clear strategy and strong will. Pakistan has emerged as a strong and responsible voice for regional peace, which has paved the way for lasting stability in Iran and beyond.
