QG vs HK: Quetta Gladiators seal first PSL 11 win with all-round performance

LAHORE: Quetta Gladiators defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen by 40 runs in the 5th match of PSL 11.

Batting first, Quetta Gladiators posted a strong total of 174 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Quetta managed to put up a decent score of 174 runs, with half-centuries from both Shamil Hussain (54) and Hassan Nawaz, along with a quick cameo from Tom Curran.

Among the Hyderabad bowlers, Rylee Meredith performed exceptionally, with three wickets to her name.

While chasing, Hyderabad Kingsmen managed only 134/8. Irfan Khan and Hasan Khan were the standouts with 33 and 31 runs respectively, but the other batsmen failed to put up a big partnership.

For Quetta Gladiators, Abrar Ahmed bowled brilliantly, taking 3 wickets for 23 runs, while Ahmed Daniyal took 2 wickets for 13 runs. Al-Zari Joseph and Usman Tariq took one wicket each.

This win marked Quetta’s first win, while Hyderabad Kingsmen suffered their second consecutive loss.
