Renshaw, Wildermuth tons to record BBL chase

BRISBANE: On Friday in 6th match, Brisbane Heat beat Perth Scorchers by 8 wickets in the Big Bash T20 League (BBL), setting several records.

For the first time in the history of Australia’s Big Bash League, two centuries were scored in an innings, while the record for the most sixes in a match was set.

In the match played in Brisbane, Perth Scorchers batted first and posted a mountain of 257 runs for 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Finn Allen and Cooper Connolly played an innings of 79 and 77 runs for Perth Scorchers.

In reply, Brisbane Heat achieved the target of 258 runs on the fifth ball of the last over of the match for the loss of only 2 wickets.

For Brisbane Heat, Jack Wildermoth remained unbeaten on 110 runs, while Matt Renshaw scored 102 runs.

The two players also set the highest partnership of 212 runs in the history of the Big Bash League, while for the first time, two centuries were scored in an innings.
A total of 515 runs were scored in this match and a record of 36 sixes was also set in a match in the history of the Big Bash.

The target of 258 runs was the highest in the history of the Big Bash and the third highest in the history of T20Is that was achieved.
